Metro Cebu

YWC has supported Metropolitan Cebu Water District (MCWD) through JICA projects over a long period. The beginning was in 2011 just after the establishment of YWC to conduct the survey and the training for MCWD. The technical cooperation project followed in 2012 to improve water supply business such as purification technology, distribution management, leakage reduction, and customer service. This led to the introduction of SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) system, Japan’s excellent ICT technology, to MCWD in 2016. YWC supports MCWD also in the field of sewerage; preparatory study for septage (septic tank sludge) treatment plant in 2019 and detailed study for sewerage master plan in 2021.

Metro Manila

YWC participated JICA project to enhance the capability of Non-Revenue Water (NRW) management of Maynilad Water Services, Inc., one of the concessionaires of water and sewerage works in Metro Manila in 2017.

Cagayan de Oro

YWC provided Cagayan de Oro Water District (COWD) with advice to reduce NRW through JICA study in 2014.
