YWC implemented JICA’s training program “African Region Urban Waterworks Engineering” every year since 2011 to secure safe water in Africa by transferring useful and practical know-how on water supply to senior engineers in urban areas in African countries. The total of 133 engineers from 30 countries participated this program as of March 2021. Regarding JICA technical cooperation projects, YWC has supported Nigeria, Rwanda, Sudan, Tanzania, South Africa, and Malawi to reduce NRW.
