YWC supported Danang Water Supply Company (DAWACO) in Vietnam to replace old pumps with highly energy-efficient ones in 2017 to mitigate environmental burden. YWC and DAWACO formed an international consortium to utilize the Joint Credit Mechanism (JCM) scheme of Ministry of Environment, Japan to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emission introducing nine energy-efficient pumps. YWC has been preparing another JCM project for Ho Chi Minh City since 2019 to install invertors in the pumping station to improve energy efficiency.
